It’s Pieority 30 Mins PIE-CHART Ritual

BY IT'S PIEORITY

LET'S CONNECT

[Adjective]
Ritual: An action arising from convention or habit.

That’s right — we’re all about building positive habits, affirmative actions, and sticking to them consistently!

It isn’t hard to decode our page name, “It’s Pieority”. Life is a whole pie, and to bake it well, we need to mix the right percentage of ingredients.

Today, we’re going to take it step by step to set the foundation right. So that all of us get to bask in the goodness, indulgent pie of life we deserve to enjoy!

THE WHY

To live an intentional life that flows for us, we need to know our priorities in any stage of life. And every action flows from an alignment of values we feel strongly for. Makes for a happier, (more) fulfilled us!

LET'S GET TO IT!

1. QUIET TIME FOR JOURNALING

Prepare a piece of paper and a pen. Find a conducive space for introspecting – one where you feel safe to be by your innermost thoughts.

2. 7 AREAS OF LIFE – BEING AWARE

Generally, there are 7 areas of our lives that we would all ideally like to master. This is a good starting point to evaluate our goals, and where we want to be:

  • Spiritual: a sense of purpose and mission for our lives, something bigger than ourselves
  • Mental: intellectual stimulation, creating innovative ideas, being in touch with emotions, mindfulness
  • Career: be it a promotion, pay raise, achievement, service
  • Financial: our degree of financial freedom and independence
  • Familial: family love and intimacy
  • Social: our communities, social lives, influence
  • Physical: strength, well-being, health, stamina, staying active

3. 7 AREAS OF LIFE – SCORE THEM!

Now that you understand these categories, a simple exercise would be to score them from 1 to 10 with 1 being the least satisfied and 10 being the most satisfied.

Ask yourself:

  • Why do I give these scores?
  • Am I satisfied with what I’m seeing?
  • Which areas of my life do I want to improve on?
  • Which areas of my life am I satisfied with?

Maybe you’re ranking higher in your career, but feeling a little emptier when it comes to social or familial connections. Maybe you’re ranking higher in mental, but feeling lost when it comes to your spirituality.

And that’s okay – it’s realistically hard to have all our marbles in place.

4. COMMIT & TAKE SUSTAINABLE ACTION

Here comes the tough part — CIRCLE 1-2 areas in your life that you desire to be better in. Make a commitment to take tangible action for change.

E.g.
Physical – “I will start cutting out processed sugar foods from my diet. However, to keep it sustainable, I can treat myself to a dessert bi-weekly.”

Social – “I think I’ve been too busy and have been neglecting some friendships. I will be more intentional by scheduling a check-in monthly.”

There you go! An easy exercise that has kickstarted your journey towards greater self-awareness, and being more connected to the values you want to prioritise.

Remember — change doesn’t occur overnight.

We know it gets tough, and it’s why we’re here to support! With new posts everyday, it’s just our hope to keep us all accountable to be better every day – even if it’s just 1% more daily.
